About Iain Cridland Photography
The Band
This was a photoshoot I did with a local college band when I was living in Aberdeen, Scotland. They were a hard rock band and wanted something gritty and urban so experimented with different backgrounds and colored gels while in the studio. In the end we decided on a plain black background with low key lighting setup. Towards the end of the photoshoot I got them to pose individually with their instruments. With little direction from myself I encouraged them to be themselves and allow their personalities come through.
